With Bizzera espresso machines carefully selected from Milan, (the first ever to be developed in the world, in 1901), and two single-origin blends, from an Italian-owned plantation in Brazil, that are – roasted exclusively for us in Cape Town, Micaffè offers some of the best hand-selected coffee in Cape Town.
Our coffee is selected from the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) highest-scoring single-origin coffee beans (in SA) and roasted into two sensational blends: Aromatica and Intenso. Available as whole Beans, Ground, or in Nespresso® compatible Pods.
Our Premium Blends include Aromatica and Intenso:
Aromatica has a light body with hints of chocolate, caramel, and cherry. It’s perfect for those who like milder flavours.
Intenso has a bolder flavour profile that includes dark chocolate, toffee, and caramelized sugar notes. This blend is excellent for those who prefer more decadent flavours in their coffee.
Additionally, we have; Forza, Milano, Speciale, African Terra, African Nero, CBD, and Decaf.
We’re not your typical caffè. We’re inspired by authentic Italian dishes and known for our excellent food and beverage pairings, created by an expert chef and available in both savoury and sweet options.
Our menu boasts flavour-rich dishes, made with only the best quality sourced ingredients. Prepared by an award-winning chef and dished in Italian-style, Micaffè offers an unforgettable breakfast and lunch experience.
The Biscione is an historic symbol of Milan and of the Visconti family, who rose to power as rulers of the Northern Italian City in the 14th century. Over time, the fearsome looking creature (“grass snake”) came to show its softer side, now seen as a guardian of the people. MiCaffè chose this symbol to represent our dedication to replicating an authentic piece of Milan, the beating heart of Italy, which is also featured on our espresso machines, (and Alfa Romeo – no relation!), as well as the doorway sculpture at our flagship store entrance.
